Can and Bottle Recycling at WWG

By Addy Beaty, WWG Earth YES! student

The WWG Earth YES! class is working to make recycling more important to people in our community. We have received 6 recycling bins to put around our school in order to increase the amount of plastic bottles and aluminum cans being recycled. These bins were donated by Redwood County Recycling Center. We would also like to thank Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center in partnership with Central Minnesota Sustainability Project, Laurentian Environmental Center, and Ney Environmental Education Foundation for helping support this project. We started this project in mid-October and since then we’ve recycled over 650 cans and bottles. We hope this encourages you to recycle!
