The Lac qui Parle Valley YES! Team will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony and trail cleanup on April 17 at 2:00 pm. The YES! Team would like to invite community members to help them celebrate the first step of their “Light the Trail Project” which will involve the installation of solar-powered lights on the bike trail behind the Appleton Area Health Services.
Team and community members will meet at Riverview Park and proceed down the bike trail to the Appleton baseball field, picking up garbage along the way. A solar-powered light and post will be shown to the volunteers at the end of the cleanup, and YES! Team members will be present to answer community members’ questions about their project. Refreshments will also be served at the end of the event.
