student funding opportunity

The Lexus Eco Challenge offers an opportunity for students in grades 6-12 can register for the Lexus Eco Challenge.  The Challenge is divided into three categories: Land&Water, Air&Climate, and a Final Challenge. Teams have the opportunity to win $10,000 in each of the first two challenges and up to $30,000 in the final challenge. For each challenge, teams must illustrate their action plan using PowerPoint. Teams are also required to show how their ideas were implemented and evaluated.

The deadlines for each of the categories are as follows:
Land&Water – October 31, 2011.
Air&Climate – November 19, 2011.
Final Challenge – February 20, 2012.
