YES! is welcoming a new member to our staff – Monica Thompson is a YES! Coordinator who will be working with the Northwest teams while working out of Lakes Country Service Cooperative in Fergus Falls. We are excited for Monica to share her experience and passion with the YES! Program.
Here is what Monica has to say:
Hello everyone! My name is Monica Thompson, and I am very excited
to be working with the YES! Program as Coordinator for the Northwest MN teams! After growing up in Fergus Falls, MN, I attended Minnesota State University-Moorhead and earned a BS in Elementary Education with a Science emphasis and earned my masters degree in Teaching and Learning from Saint Mary’s University- Winona.
I worked for the Fergus Falls Public Schools before joining the Lakes Country Service Cooperative team. I am a Technology Integration Specialist, working with schools to implement technology and provide training for staff. I also work with student academic challenges including Knowledge Bowl and Spelling Bee.
When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my family, playing volleyball, or crafting. I look forward to meeting and getting to know all the Northwest MN teams and working together to make a difference in our community!
