The Sartell Middle School 7th grade enriched class is apart of YES!. The goal of YES! this year is to reduce, reuse, and recycle. So far the YES! team has made lessons on waste reduction, recycling, composting, reducing food waste, how much we waste, and reusing. These lessons are shown throughout the middle school in our SA/homeroom classes. We have also put together a digital breakout box. The YES! (2017) group is the first group of students at Sartell Middle School to make a digital breakout box. The YES! group has also purchased recycling bins for our school, worked on getting paper usage down, and looked into getting milk dispensers in our school. We also are going to present what we have done at a school event called Education Done Differently on April 24th. At Education Done Differently we are selling concessions to raise money to pay for the recycling bins we got. One last thing that the YES! group has done is make a website to show all of this information. You can find the S.A lessons, the group projects, and the the digital breakout box on this website.Go check
out the website.
Thanks from the YES! team.
