Have you ever wanted to use the sun to power your phone? Attend this class and you will build your own solar powered cell phone charger which you can use to power any type of cell phone!
In this hands-on class you will learn the basics of capturing and using solar electricity from Jeff LaHay and Fran Crotty, a member of the MRES International Committee who recently taught this same class in Africa.
This class will take place on Saturday, September 8th from 9 am-4 pm at Midwest Mountaineering (309 Cedar Ave S., Minneapolis, MN 55454). The cost of the class is $110 for members of Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) and $130 for non-members. No previous solar experience is necessary and all materials are included in the class fee.
