What 294 YES! Students Accomplished This Year

It was another great year for YES!  This year, 294 students from 22 different schools participated in the Youth Energy Summit (YES!) program.  These students worked with 281 community members and 136 local businesses to achieve their energy-related goals.  The energy action projects that these students worked on this year impacted an additional 20,779 students and 16,007 community members.  This

Reducing School Lunch Waste in New London-Spicer

Standing on the second highest point in Kandiyohi County, 20 YES! students, coaches and staff learned they were standing on 100 feet of trash.  The Kandiyohi County Landfill receives over 37 tons of garbage a year and over 3 million gallons of paint and stain waste.
