Good news: YES! has been recommended to receive funding from LCCMR (Legislative-Citizens’ Commission on Minnesota Resources) to help with costs through 2013. In general, LCCMR makes funding recommendations to the legislature for projects, primarily from the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund. You can now check out the progression of how your holiday lights are being recycled by looking through the recently added album on the YES facebook page. Though this is the second year Recycling Association of Minnesota has collected lights the program is in its first year in Willmar. Feedback has been wildly positive, thanks to the cooperation of partners involved and collections like yours!
